Our Mission
At JO's Walking Testimony Foundation Inc., our mission is to ensure families affected by traumatic injuries know they have a village standing beside them, providing support, relief and services to ease their burden in their times of need. We provide emotional support, financial relief, and therapeutic services to ease the burden on caregivers and families while ensuring no one goes through these challenges alone.
My Name Is Jo and This Is My Story.......
My name is Jo'nae Johnson and on August 8, 2024, my life changed forever. I was hit by a car at over 30 mph as I was leaving my job and because of this, I was rushed to the hospital where they had to revive me multiple times, go through multiple surgeries where they worked tirelessly to keep me alive. After sustaining me, I was put into a medically induced coma to give my mind and my body a chance to heal.
I was diagnosed with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and was told by one of the doctors that it will be a surprise if I woke up soon, After weeks of prayers from my family and my friends, I decided to grace the world with my presence again. Since then, I have been fighting to get my place back in this world by finally going to college, spending time with my family and friends and starting this foundation.
My story is not to make you feel sorry for me, but a chance to inspire, encourage, and/or give you hope that you and your family that so desperately needs. Some of us are going through a similar situation, and I want you to know that you are not alone. Let us come together and share our stories and no that you are not alone in this fight!!!
